Telehealth Registered Dietitian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional and culturally sensitive nutrition counseling to patients throughout the Northeast.

• Perform thorough nutritional evaluations and create personalized care plans based on evidence-based practices.

• Provide medical nutrition therapy for various chronic and acute conditions through individual sessions.

• Ensure precise and timely clinical documentation by utilizing the specified electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Facilitate care coordination and maintain effective communication with referring physicians, care coordinators, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

• Guide patients on healthy eating habits, lifestyle modifications, and management of nutrition-related diseases in a virtual environment.

• Develop and implement specialized nutrition programs for diverse populations, including those managing diabetes, heart diseases, or aiming for athletic performance goals.

• Ensure adherence to both state and federal regulations, including accurate coding and documentation.

• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives and engage in team training or case reviews as necessary.

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.

• Must hold and maintain active state licensure and current CDR credentials to practice as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in all designated states.

• Active multi-state licensure is mandatory.

• Proof of current professional liability insurance coverage is necessary.

• Current enrollment with two major insurance payors or Medicare Advantage plans is advantageous.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential.

• Previous experience in virtual health or telehealth nutrition counseling is preferred but not compulsory.

• Candidates must successfully pass a background check and maintain good standing with the relevant state board(s).
