This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Evaluate intake assessments, which include medical history, dietary practices, laboratory findings, and more.
• Provide diet and lifestyle counseling as well as educational sessions through video, offering guidance on general movement, sleep, or stress management pertinent to nutritional care.
• Utilize Allara’s nutrition training and educational resources to guarantee uniform care while tailoring approaches to meet patient needs.
• Apply motivational interviewing and behavior change methods throughout the care continuum.
• Work alongside APRNs and MDs involved in managing your patients' medical care.
• Keep precise and current patient records.
• Commit to a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours weekly, in addition to administrative responsibilities.
• Duties also encompass charting, responding to patient inquiries, and managing administrative tasks and messages promptly.
• Certification: Registered Dietitian with an active certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience treating patients with complex women’s health issues (highly preferred).
• Clinical Independence: Demonstrated ability to operate as an independent provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking capabilities.
• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing compassion and clarity.
• Webside Manner: An innate ability to establish trust and rapport with patients in a virtual environment.
• Evidence-Based Practice: A sincere commitment to providing care based on the latest clinical research.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating various platforms, including EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling tools.
• Telemedicine Experience: Previous telehealth experience is advantageous.
• State License Requirements & Hiring Considerations: An active, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state is mandatory.
