
Telehealth Psychiatric Physician Assistant – Eating Disorders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +9 more states.
• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and manage medication for patients with complex psychiatric issues, including eating disorders and concurrent psychiatric conditions.
• Offer detailed psychiatric assessments and consultations to external psychiatric providers for continued treatment with this provider.
• Execute medication treatment strategies for individuals dealing with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions in a virtual clinic (i.e., telehealth) environment.
• Assess medical risks related to eating disorders within the psychiatric care framework, including the impact of eating disorder behaviors on psychiatric symptoms, medication choices, safety, and care level requirements.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising medical professionals, dietitians, therapists, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.
• Use between-session communication to assist patients and engage with the treatment team via Equip’s EMR, adhering to Equip’s policies and procedures.
• Participate actively in treatment team meetings, supervision, training sessions, and departmental meetings.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Physician Assistant.
• Hold an active license to practice in the state(s) where the patients reside or be willing to obtain licenses in other states (cost covered by Equip).
• Show a commitment to delivering exceptional evidence-based care, enhancing clinical skills, and a passion for ongoing professional growth.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their caregivers, responding to messages promptly.
• Exhibit curiosity, a love for learning, and actively engage in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Have comfort and experience in working with patients facing eating disorders, emotional dysregulation, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
