Telehealth Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant – Delaware License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop personalized treatment plans for patients and adjust them as necessary when progress is not as anticipated, either independently or by consulting with a more experienced provider.

• Utilize motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and various behavioral interventions to encourage patients to stay engaged in their care and adhere to their treatment plans. Conduct behavioral health and psychiatric evaluations for the range of psychological services provided (including depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.).

• Systematically assess treatment responses and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms, side effects, treatment adherence, efficacy of treatment, or complications, and prescribe or recommend the appropriate medications.

• Educate patients about Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).

• Record all patient interactions in Ophelia’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) promptly and with high quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).

• Active DEA license (schedule 3N, 4, 5) or willingness to obtain a DEA license upon receiving a job offer with Ophelia.

• Fully licensed to practice in Delaware (additional licenses in NJ, NY, VA, or MD are advantageous!).

• Ability to deliver patient-centered, non-judgmental, and compassionate care.

• Strong interest in working with vulnerable or marginalized populations.

• Comfort in engaging with a diverse range of individuals.

• Proficient and adept at working in a remote telehealth setting with the technical skills necessary to navigate multiple technology platforms.

• Enthusiastic about contributing to a fast-paced early-stage healthcare startup that continually evolves processes and technology to meet the needs of patients and clinicians.

• Willingness to adopt a team-based approach to patient care.

• Familiarity with the differential diagnosis of common substance use disorders.

• Basic understanding of psychopharmacology related to opioid use disorder.

• Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment.

• Capacity to maintain professional and effective relationships with patients and other members of the care team.

• Working knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial treatments, counseling techniques, or brief behavioral interventions.
