Telehealth Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Perform a thorough evaluation of clients’ presenting concerns, develop a treatment plan aimed at addressing identified issues, and facilitate referrals to long-term treatment and/or community resources when clinically justified.

• Manage a full-time caseload of appointments daily.

• Employ brief, solution-oriented interventions to address the clients’ presenting concerns.

• Ensure the safety of clients who may be at risk of self-harm or harm to others.

• Guarantee that all clients are appropriately referred to long-term treatment when clinically warranted, utilizing their benefit plans and/or community resources.

• Keep current and accurate documentation for all client interactions in the ComPsych system according to established procedures and protocols.

• Continuously enhance professional knowledge through the review of trends pertaining to telehealth counseling, effective treatment methods, and evidence-based practices.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• An independent clinical license is required.

• Experience in delivering direct clinical services and solution-focused therapy is essential.

• Knowledge of treatment challenges and behavioral health services is important.

• Outstanding communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service and sound clinical judgment.

• Quick-thinking, high-energy, positive, and professional demeanor, with proven multi-tasking and critical thinking abilities.

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical counseling experience is required.

• Must possess high-speed internet and a workspace free from distractions, disruptions, or noise.

• Ability to appear on camera during work-related training sessions, meetings, and/or events.

• Must be capable of sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods while working on a computer.
