Telecommunications Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create site plans for OSP (Outside Plant) fiber and coaxial cable routes.

• Utilize survey field notes and sketches to develop new designs or update existing ones across various software platforms.

• Organize and oversee revisions of project drawings.

• Produce bills of materials, splice sheets, and associated design documentation.

• Execute assigned tasks with exceptional quality, precision, and efficiency.

• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and the QC team to adhere to deadlines.

• Maintain productivity and design accuracy in a fast-paced production setting.

• Comply with customer specifications.

• Operate across multiple customer specifications and software platforms.

• Diagnose design issues and resolve problems while meeting project timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in OSP telecom design, fiber optic (FTTx), splicing, and network architecture.

• Proficiency in English, with strong skills in reading, writing, and verbal communication.

• Experience in fiber optic design and a solid understanding of FTTx networks.

• Familiarity with fiber components, splicing, and network architecture.

• Capability to create BOMs, splice sheets, and supporting design documentation.

• Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, field notes, and specifications.

• Proficient in ArcGIS Online, AutoCAD (ACAD), Microsoft Word, Excel, D365, and Outlook.

• Preferred experience with GIS, Vetro, ArcGIS Pro, Bluebeam, Visio, and PDF editing tools.

• Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices in telecom design.

• Reliable internet connectivity.

• Successful completion of pre-employment background check, drug test, and assessment tests.

• Ability to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week.

• Willingness to work specified IST shifts and complete two weeks of training during the designated hours.
