Technology Governance Analyst – Lead

📋 Description

• Accountable for creating repeatable procedures to identify technologies utilized throughout the organization.

• Evaluating associated risks and integrating technologies into operational management.

• Enhancing visibility into the organization’s technology landscape.

• Collaborates with Security, IT, Enterprise Architecture, Procurement, Privacy, Legal, and various business stakeholders.

• Develops and executes processes that enhance visibility into SaaS applications, cloud services, AI platforms, browser extensions, and other technologies adopted by the business.

• Analyzes data from enterprise identity, endpoint, cloud, network, browser, and security platforms.

• Investigates technology usage to clarify business purpose, ownership, data sensitivity, regulatory factors, operational dependencies, and related security risks.

• Partners with business stakeholders to comprehend technology adoption and facilitate secure integration into established operational frameworks.

• Coordinates with IT and technology teams to guarantee that technologies undergo proper review, documentation, inventory, and transition into operational ownership.

• Establishes and maintains inventories of business applications, technology owners, integrations, data classifications, and related risk information.

• Conducts technical risk assessments and recommends practical security controls and mitigation strategies that align with business goals.

• Implements and enhances capabilities supporting technology governance, technology inventory, and security posture management.

• Develops automation through scripting, APIs, and workflow technologies to enhance discovery, inventory synchronization, reporting, and lifecycle management.

• Generates operational and executive reports that communicate trends in technology adoption, governance maturity, operational metrics, and technology risks.

• Cultivates trusted relationships among technical and business teams to promote secure technology adoption and effective governance.

• Documents all established processes, workflows, and operational procedures to ensure long-term sustainability.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud security, technology governance, technology risk, or related fields.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise security or technology governance capabilities.

• Experience in deploying technology discovery, SaaS governance, security posture management, or similar operational capabilities.

• Background in building operational processes from initial concept through implementation and transition to steady-state operations.

• Experience in integrating enterprise platforms using APIs, scripting, automation, and workflow technologies.

• Strong knowledge of SaaS applications, cloud services, enterprise identity, modern authentication, application integrations, and technology lifecycle management.

• Experience in analyzing enterprise telemetry to identify patterns of technology adoption, operational gaps, and security risks.

• Proficiency in developing automation using scripting languages, APIs, or workflow orchestration platforms.

• Excellent analytical, investigative, organizational, and documentation abilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to influence stakeholders across both technical and business domains.

• Experience in independently delivering technical projects within specified timelines.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualifications.

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).

• CompTIA Security+.

• GIAC security certifications.

• Cloud security certifications.

• Identity and access management certifications.

• Other equivalent industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications.
