Technical Writer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, publish, and maintain knowledge base articles for a cybersecurity Software as a Service (SaaS) platform.

• Test platform features and document findings.

• Work collaboratively with a small team to prioritize tasks and establish attainable objectives.

• Engage closely with subject-matter experts and colleagues across various teams and disciplines to address inquiries, offer solutions, and achieve shared goals.

• Develop and implement strategies for long-term enhancements in documentation projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in a related field (e.g., English, writing, communications, instructional design, software/computer engineering).

• 1–2 years of professional experience as a technical writer, ideally within the technology sector or a similar field.

• Exceptional proficiency in both oral and written English.

• Professional or academic background in writing, editing, or publishing.

• Familiarity with documentation and publication technologies, including word processing, image editing, and web publishing tools.

• Ability to quickly learn and master new technologies and applications.

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders from other departments.

• High level of attention to detail and strong observational skills.

• Capability to receive and incorporate feedback in an iterative manner.

• Ability to understand complex systems and generate accurate and comprehensive documentation and instructions related to those systems.

• Quick learner who can work both independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and seek clarification when necessary.

• Research and problem-solving skills that allow for rapid adaptation to changes in a dynamic software release environment.
