This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct a technical review for quality assurance on all documentation prior to customer delivery.

• Develop and implement uniform writing templates and documentation styles for all technical publications.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create user guides, process documentation, new templates, template updates, and presentations, ensuring a clear understanding of project specifications and requirements.

• Evaluate team processes to guarantee efficiency and comprehensive documentation of all aspects.

• Ensure that technical documentation is thorough and precise.

• Merge, edit, format, and finalize the monthly progress report.

• Engage in the review process.

• Develop, edit, and maintain training materials, brown bag sessions, and instructional supplements to ensure clarity in processes, while also reviewing all documentation and training materials for currency.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by embracing the customer’s mission and striving for success.

• Transcribe meeting minutes from recorded sessions.

• Collaborate with AI to enhance these functions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of experience in Technical Writing/Communications within IT or Software development sectors (or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience).

• Conduct interviews with SMEs to gather technical information.

• Produce technical manuals and quick reference guides.

• Utilize recognized style guides, such as the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS), Microsoft Manual of Style, and VA style preferences.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Teams, and SharePoint.

• Ability to work autonomously while effectively communicating with supervisors regarding all responsibilities.

• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Expertise in writing, editing, and proofreading across all levels, with a willingness to perform necessary tasks.

• Capability to use graphics effectively to convey ideas.

• Skill in revising one’s own work or that of others to enhance clarity and persuasiveness of documents or presentations.

• Ability to convey complex information appropriately to audiences with varying levels of knowledge.

• Mentor and coach other technical writers.

• Thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
