This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and sustain technical documentation for mortgage and fintech systems, including LOS, POS, and servicing platforms.
• Create user guides, API documentation, knowledge base articles, and educational materials.
• Convert intricate technical and regulatory concepts into clear and concise content.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and product managers to document features and system updates.
• Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards such as RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and TRID.
• Uphold documentation standards, templates, and style guides.
• Facilitate onboarding and training through well-structured learning materials.
• Oversee the documentation lifecycle, including versioning and updates.
• Participate in product releases to guarantee documentation is prepared and up-to-date.
• Collect feedback to enhance the quality and usability of documentation continuously.
• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5+ years of experience in technical writing, ideally within fintech or regulated industries, or 7 years of experience in technical writing in similar domains.
• Capability to obtain VA Public Trust Clearance.
• Strong aptitude for understanding and explaining complex technical systems.
• Experience in writing API documentation and content directed towards developers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe's writing and editing tools.
• Skilled in Confluence and SharePoint documentation and knowledge base systems.
• Proficient in using Markdown editors and Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control and technical tools.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to distill complex information for a variety of audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Structured thinking and efficient content organization.
• Consistent attention to detail.
