This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, edit, and sustain technical documentation for IT consulting projects.
• Create system documentation, implementation guides, standard operating procedures, user manuals, administrator guides, and training resources.
• Convert intricate technical concepts into clear and concise documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, cloud engineers, cybersecurity experts, and business analysts to collect technical information.
• Produce and maintain system design documents, architecture diagrams, configuration guides, installation manuals, operations and maintenance documents, knowledge base entries, release notes, and process documentation.
• Assist proposal efforts by providing technical content, staffing descriptions, management plans, and documentation of past performances.
• Support cybersecurity teams with documentation for RMF, NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC, and ATO initiatives.
• Ensure all documentation meets client standards, organizational templates, branding guidelines, and contractual obligations.
• Conduct document reviews to ensure quality, consistency, grammar, formatting, and technical precision.
• Manage document repositories and version control using SharePoint, Confluence, or Microsoft Teams.
• Support knowledge management efforts by organizing and maintaining reusable documentation assets.
• Coordinate document reviews and approvals with internal stakeholders and government clients.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communications, Journalism, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 3 years of technical writing experience in IT, software, cloud, or cybersecurity projects.
• Experience supporting federal, DoD, or state/local government programs.
• Exceptional written, verbal, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Proven experience developing documentation through interviews with subject matter experts.
• Strong grasp of document lifecycle management and version control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).
• Familiarity with SharePoint, Confluence, Adobe Acrobat, or similar collaboration/document management tools.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic consulting environment.
• Experience working with federal government contractors or system integrators.
• Oracle EPM experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, RMF, FedRAMP, CMMC, FISMA, and DoD cybersecurity documentation.
• Experience documenting cloud environments such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• Experience in supporting software implementation or systems integration projects.
• Familiarity with diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io.
• No security clearance is required.
• Expected travel is capped at 20%.
