• Develop, sustain, and deliver technical training programs for medium and low voltage OEM products (such as switchgear, MCCs, PDUs, switchboards) aimed at both internal and external audiences.
• Facilitate instructor-led training sessions in classroom, virtual, and onsite formats, focusing on product features, configuration, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Design training materials including slide presentations, instructor manuals, participant workbooks, job aids, videos, and assessments that comply with IEM standards and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and service teams to ensure that training content is up-to-date with current designs, codes, and best practices in medium and low voltage systems.
• Evaluate training needs by working with operations, field service, sales, and customers, converting identified gaps into structured training solutions.
• Measure training effectiveness through quizzes, skills demonstrations, feedback surveys, and field performance metrics, fostering continuous enhancement of content and delivery methods.
• Assist in onboarding programs for new hires in engineering, manufacturing, field service, and sales, providing role-specific technical training modules.
• Maintain precise training records (attendance, completion, certifications) and aid in the development of competency frameworks for technical roles.
• Ensure all training initiatives prioritize electrical safety, applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E), and IEM-specific procedures and quality expectations.
• Support the creation of customer-facing technical documentation and knowledge base articles in collaboration with product and service teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline; or equivalent practical experience in power distribution, switchgear, or electrical systems.
• Over 5 years of experience in medium and/or low voltage equipment, field service, applications engineering, or technical training within an OEM, EPC, or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution equipment (such as switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, MCCs, breakers, relays) and fundamental power system concepts (protection, coordination, grounding).
• Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training, with the capability to tailor content for technicians, engineers, and non-technical audiences.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, emphasizing clarity, engagement, and safety.
• Proficient with common training tools and productivity software (e.g., PowerPoint, LMS platforms, virtual meeting tools).
• Preferred: Experience in OEM manufacturing or data center/utility/industrial environments; relevant certifications (e.g., NETA, NICET, or similar) are advantageous.
