Bid Writer, Technical Editor – Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• The person filling this position will craft engaging responses and proposals for complex, high-value, and strategic opportunities on a global scale.

• In close partnership with the Sales Distribution, Bid, and Commercial Teams, create bid narratives, concept notes, and outreach materials that adhere to customer guidelines.

• Ensure that proposals are coherent, persuasive, technically sound, and meet evaluation criteria and specific client requirements.

• Gather a substantial amount of information - often sourced from various business lines and presented in diverse tones and voices - and seamlessly integrate it into proposals that clearly convey intricate customer solutions.

• Incorporate feedback from reviewers and revise documents prior to bid submission.

• Clearly express in bids all agreed-upon bespoke solutions, value propositions, and win strategies that align with client needs and organizational goals.

• Effectively build and sustain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee that sufficient information is available for the creation of high-quality written products for customers.

• Work alongside internal sales distribution, commercial, and operational teams to maintain a continuous understanding of a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.

• Identify areas for enhancement within the bid and capture processes, promoting innovation and efficiency in systems, tools, and procedures.

• Foster continuous improvement in proposal quality and effectiveness through mentorship and capacity building focused on high-quality bid writing, provided to relevant internal stakeholders, including the commercial team.

• Uphold a culture of excellence, ensuring that the company’s externally submitted written products reflect the highest professional standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master's degree is preferred.

• A minimum of six years’ experience in bid writing and delivering high-quality written products for external use, ideally within the health, defense, medical, and/or security sectors.

• Required experience with NATO, UN, UK, and EU government proposal submissions.

• Proven experience working cross-culturally and developing relationships with stakeholders globally.

• Experience in writing bids focused on health, security, and the medical field is an advantage.

• Adaptable and flexible, with the capability to respond to the evolving needs of a company undergoing dynamic growth and change.

• Familiarity with donor-specific templates and compliance requirements.
