
Technical Support Representative – IT Help Desk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Address incoming support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system in a prompt and polite manner.
• Evaluate and diagnose technical issues reported by end-users, encompassing hardware, software, and network challenges.
• Deliver effective solutions to technical problems, assisting end-users through corrective measures or conducting remote troubleshooting.
• Refer unresolved issues to the appropriate IT personnel or vendors for further investigation and resolution.
• Aid in the installation, configuration, and deployment of software applications and updates.
• Record support tickets, resolutions, and procedures to create a knowledge base for future reference and training purposes.
• Offer basic training and guidance to end-users on software applications, systems, and IT best practices.
• Monitor system performance and security to proactively identify potential issues or vulnerabilities.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patches, and backups.
• Adhere to established IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and security.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) may be beneficial.
• Previous experience in a technical support role or help desk environment is desirable.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Familiar with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), productivity software (Microsoft Office, G Suite), and remote support tools.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong customer service orientation focused on delivering a positive support experience to end-users.
• Aptitude for analyzing problems, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other IT personnel to resolve complex issues and achieve shared objectives.
