This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Deliver crucial technical support to enterprise clients and telecom operators overseeing Mobile Private Networks (MPN).
• Accountable for diagnosing network connectivity problems, managing service tickets, and ensuring that customer traffic flows seamlessly through our virtual anchors.
• Serve as the primary contact for technical issues, conducting initial triaging, data collection, and basic troubleshooting for the Opplane VLMA platform.
• Access Linux-based systems to analyze system messages and application logs to identify where a connection or session is failing.
• Thoroughly document technical findings and escalate highly complex routing or product bugs to Tier 3 senior engineers.
• Clearly communicate technical steps and solutions to customer network administrators via ticketing systems, email, or live support calls.
• 1–3 years of experience in a technical support, network operations center (NOC), or junior network administration position.
• Associate’s degree in Networking, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience/certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, or CompTIA Linux+/Network+).
• Networking Fundamentals & CLI Experience.
• CLI Proficiency - Demonstrated hands-on experience with the Cisco IOS or Juniper Junos Command Line Interface to configure interfaces, check routing tables, and confirm network status.
• Routing & Switching - Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Subnets, VLANs, Static routing, and Basic dynamic routing protocols.
• Tunneling Concepts - Knowledge of how data tunneling functions (such as GRE or basic VPNs) to securely transport traffic across networks.
• Linux System Administration - OS Navigation - Comfort working within a Linux/Unix environment using standard terminal commands to: Navigate directories, View system logs, and Manage files.
• Network Diagnostics - Capability to use native Linux tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, ifconfig/ip, netstat) to troubleshoot server-side network connectivity.
• Service Management - Basic understanding of checking system services and confirming application status via the command line.
• Troubleshooting & Infrastructure Support: Packet Analysis - Basic familiarity with packet capturing tools like Wireshark or tcpdump to verify if traffic is successfully reaching its destination.
• Infrastructure Awareness - General understanding of virtualized network environments (VMs) and how remote edge devices (such as routers or gateways) connect back to a central core network.
