
Technical Services Engineer β Midstream and Downstream

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Deliver technical support and consultative expertise to clients in the midstream and downstream oil & gas sectors.
β’ Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and Univar sales teams to pinpoint operational challenges, propose application solutions, and enhance asset performance, reliability, and efficiency.
β’ Act as the technical resource for clients, sales teams, and supplier partners.
β’ Perform site assessments to analyze customer operations and discover opportunities for enhancement.
β’ Offer troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical recommendations for customer applications.
β’ Assist in product implementation, startup activities, and continuous program optimization.
β’ Create technical proposals, application solutions, and customer presentations.
β’ Conduct joint visits with sales and supplier representatives to customers.
β’ Provide product and industry training for clients and internal teams.
β’ Identify new business opportunities through customer engagement and market analysis.
β’ Work with suppliers on product development, technical support, and launching new products.
β’ Participate in industry events, trade shows, and technical meetings.
β’ Maintain records of customer activity, opportunity tracking, and market intelligence reporting.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field is preferred.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in technical sales, field service, field engineering, process engineering, or industrial operations.
β’ Experience in supporting customers within the midstream or downstream oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, terminal, or pipeline sectors.
β’ Strong capabilities in troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and customer engagement.
β’ Ability to develop and present technical solutions to various levels within customer organizations.
β’ Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
β’ Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites within the designated territory.
