This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee, manage, and enhance spacecraft performance in close collaboration with the Flight Operations team.
• Work together with the Flight Dynamics, Payload, Software, Data, and Product teams throughout the organization.
• Develop and implement mission control systems from the ground up.
• Impact system design and witness the immediate real-world outcomes of your contributions.
• Influence the scaling of our constellation and operations, taking ownership of essential operational capabilities.
• Directly contribute to mission success in orbit.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 2–3+ years of experience in satellite/spacecraft operations or in the development of ground segment/Mission Control Systems, whether in operations or software.
• Strong understanding of spacecraft subsystems (e.g., AOCS, power, thermal, communications).
• Experience with telemetry analysis, command systems, and operational procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot anomalies under time constraints using structured and methodical problem-solving techniques.
• Solid software engineering foundation, with experience in a systems programming language (preferably Rust, but C, C++, or similar are also acceptable).
• Experience in developing reliable software for operational settings, with a keen focus on correctness, robustness, and safety.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and server administration.
• Knowledge of space industry standards such as CCSDS, ECSS, or PUS.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
