Technical SEO Specialist – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Execute on-page SEO strategies across over 30 international sites, including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and internal linking.

• Oversee and deliver technical SEO tasks within our project management system, collaborating closely with the IT and development teams.

• Implement schema markup, structured data, and rich results for various categories including Product, Review, Organization, Breadcrumb, and FAQ.

• Address hreflang issues, conduct international SEO debugging, and ensure consistency across ccTLDs and subdomains.

• Maintain sitemap accuracy, canonical tags, robots.txt, and overall indexation hygiene for all market versions.

• Drive tactical improvements for Core Web Vitals, including image optimization, lazy loading, and eliminating render-blocking resources.

• Manage redirect mapping and quality assurance for post-launch migrations and category updates.

• Monitor daily Search Console metrics, identifying crawl errors, indexation declines, and ranking challenges.

• Conduct localisation quality assurance on SEO components across translated content.

• Provide light keyword research and content briefing support as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on technical SEO experience, preferably in an e-commerce or agency setting.

• Proficient in Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or Semrush.

• Comfortable working with HTML, CSS, JSON-LD schema, and regular expressions.

• Experience with multi-region and multi-language websites is highly advantageous (including hreflang, ccTLDs, and subdomains).

• Familiarity with managing tasks in Jira, Asana, or similar project management platforms.

• Dependable, organised, and meets deadlines consistently.

• Exceptional written communication skills.

• Native or fluent English speaker.

• Self-driven remote worker with a reliable internet connection.

• Bonus: Experience with Wordpress/Elementor, Shopify, or custom CMS; exposure to product feeds and Merchant Center.
