Technical SEO Specialist – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Execute on-page SEO strategies across more than 30 country-specific websites, including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and internal linking.

• Oversee and deliver technical SEO tasks within our project management system, collaborating with IT and development teams.

• Implement schema markup, structured data, and rich results for various formats such as Product, Review, Organization, Breadcrumb, and FAQ.

• Address hreflang issues, conduct international SEO debugging, and ensure consistency in ccTLD and subdomains.

• Maintain sitemap, canonical tags, robots.txt, and indexation standards across all market versions.

• Enhance Core Web Vitals through tactical improvements, including image optimization, lazy loading, and addressing render-blocking elements.

• Develop redirect mapping and conduct post-launch quality assurance for migrations and category modifications.

• Monitor Google Search Console daily to identify and report crawl errors, indexation declines, and ranking challenges.

• Perform localisation quality assurance on SEO components in translated content.

• Provide support for light keyword research and content briefing as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of practical technical SEO experience, preferably in an e-commerce or agency setting.

• Proficient in Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JSON-LD schema, and regex.

• Experience with multi-region and multi-language websites is highly advantageous (including hreflang, ccTLDs, and subdomains).

• Ability to manage tasks in Jira, Asana, or similar project management platforms.

• Dependable, organized, and consistently meets deadlines.

• Exceptional written communication skills.

• Native or fluent proficiency in English.

• Self-driven remote worker with a reliable internet connection.

• Bonus: Experience with WordPress/Elementor, Shopify, or custom CMS; familiarity with product feeds and Google Merchant Center.
