
Technical Sales Specialist – Downstream Bioproduction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.
• Assist in field sales initiatives throughout the downstream bioproduction workflow portfolio, which includes bioprocess chromatography, buffer outsourcing, production chemical supply, and associated services.
• Collaborate with Bioproduction Account Managers and commercial teams to ensure comprehensive account coverage in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, and other designated V4 countries.
• Utilize robust technical and industry expertise to comprehend customer workflows, identify requirements, and support suitable solution positioning.
• Interact with stakeholders in downstream process development, MSAT, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain to facilitate technical and commercial dialogues.
• Contribute to territory and account planning by sharing customer insights, market intelligence, competitive data, and workflow-specific feedback.
• Assist in customer evaluations through technical discussions, sample coordination, presentations, process walkthroughs, and optimization of workflows.
• Keep precise customer, opportunity, and activity records in CRM systems, including Salesforce.
• Work in tandem with internal technical, commercial, product management, and customer support teams to guarantee effective follow-up and an exceptional customer experience.
• Professionally represent Thermo Fisher Scientific during customer meetings, field visits, trade shows, and pertinent industry events.
• Aid in achieving business goals by enhancing customer engagement and increasing Thermo Fisher Scientific’s visibility across assigned biopharma and biotech accounts.
• A Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Experience in bioproduction, bioprocessing, downstream processing, chromatography, purification workflows, or comparable life sciences settings.
• Familiarity with biopharmaceutical workflows, especially in downstream processing and purification across relevant biopharma modalities.
• Preference for customer-facing or field sales experience in a technical or scientific setting.
• Proficient in using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, along with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of chromatography principles, bioprocess resins, buffers, production chemicals, and quality standards within biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
• Capability to engage effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders, including teams from process development, MSAT, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain.
• Proficiency in business-fluent English is mandatory.
• Proficiency in German and Dutch is considered a significant advantage.
