This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.
• Deliver expert insights and strong technical proficiency in discussing the capabilities and product offerings of Element Biosciences with targeted pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and related companies, as well as government institutes.
• Develop and implement strategies for acquiring new clients while also nurturing and expanding existing customer accounts to achieve and surpass revenue objectives.
• Employ an analytical mindset to identify and execute optimal solutions for various issues or opportunities.
• Exhibit the ability to present diverse and innovative solutions during customer negotiations to create mutually beneficial outcomes for both the client and Element.
• Demonstrate the capacity to learn, adapt, and gain insights from each experience to enhance effectiveness in future sales situations.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment to generate and drive revenue opportunities.
• Manage customer relationships prior to sale, including strategies for cultivating long-term business partnerships.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of multi-omic applications (NGS, Spatial, Cytometry, etc.) and ideally maintain a robust network within the Biotech and Pharma sectors.
• Coordinate and communicate strategic business plans effectively within the team.
• Design various strategic initiatives to enhance sales and marketing efforts in APJ distributor markets.
• Ensure that Element Biosciences' dedication to customer satisfaction is upheld, delivered, and continually improved.
• Collaborate and engage with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Customer Services) and the local sales team to ensure alignment on shared goals.
• Ensure that Salesforce.com (SFDC) is fully utilized, updated, and compliant with company policies and procedures.
• A PhD is required, preferably in Biology or Genetics.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial roles (sales/marketing/business development) or equivalent experience in a laboratory setting coupled with customer-facing experience.
• A strong foundation in Genetics and Molecular Biology, with preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing, Genotyping methods, Spatial and Cytometry.
• Extensive knowledge and relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and leading researchers in the Biotech and Pharma industries.
• Experience in strategic sales with a proven track record of developing and expanding key accounts is preferred.
• Ability to conduct presentations effectively, professionally, and comfortably to customers, peers, and management.
• A strong desire to succeed and build lasting customer relationships.
• Proficiency in English; additional Asian languages are advantageous.
