This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Effectively manage time to ensure that potential customers and purchasing accounts are contacted efficiently.
• Identify and capitalize on lucrative sales opportunities to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Maximize sales performance by focusing on profitable products and stepping away from non-profitable activities.
• Maintain a high level of responsiveness and follow up on customer requirements.
• Enhance product knowledge through the use of product data sheets.
• Serve as a problem solver for customers and enhance their overall value experience.
• Build and maintain relationships with key account personnel.
• Prepare written reports from sales calls detailing new or lost business, pricing adjustments, usage statistics, and competitor tactics.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales to set customer sales objectives, short-term goals, and profitable sales strategies.
• Identify target accounts for suppliers when relevant.
• Schedule and conduct joint sales meetings with supplier representatives.
• Track sales leads from various sources including associates, publications, newspapers, and verbal referrals.
• Advise on account pricing and keep records of non-standard pricing.
• Submit proposals for non-standard pricing for management review.
• Handle administrative duties in line with company policies and procedures.
• Support goals related to customer satisfaction, reduction of rework, and profitability.
• Establish and nurture effective relationships with company associates.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in field sales.
• Preferred experience in the Coatings, Adhesives, and Sealants sectors within the Building & Construction industries.
• Experience with cementitious or gypsum drymix mortars is an advantage.
• Proven ability to function effectively as a team member.
• Strong moral and business ethics orientation.
• Authorization to work in the United States, validated through Form I-9/E-Verify.
