This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Establish and enhance relationships with retail and distribution clients within the designated territory.
• Identify and engage with growers to set up demonstration and promotional trials.
• Keep track of competitive pricing, promotions, product development, and marketing tactics.
• Broaden partnerships with new distributors, retailers, and growers.
• Create and execute a sales growth strategy for market expansion.
• Offer technical assistance regarding granular, liquid, water-soluble, and controlled-release fertilizers.
• Implement sales and marketing strategies through a well-structured business plan, ensuring optimal use of company resources.
• Provide market insights and recognize emerging trends.
• Prepare annual sales forecasts and monthly updates to aid the S&OP process.
• Represent ICL at trade shows, events, and demonstrations.
• Effectively utilize CRM tools to document customer interactions and oversee territory performance.
• Comprehend and achieve the financial expectations set by the sales budget.
• Submit weekly trip summaries, monthly activity reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Foster the growth of ICL’s Innovative Ag Solutions business and stimulate sales growth in the crop nutrition portfolio across the North-Pacific region of Mexico.
• Maintain customer relationships across distributors, retailers, and growers while working in collaboration with business development, agronomy, marketing, and sales operations teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural sales and providing nutritional solution recommendations.
• Strong field experience and understanding of Sinaloa, Sonora, Nayarit, Baja California, and Baja California Sur.
• Demonstrated success in commercial sales execution.
• Capability to manage demonstration farms, technical trials, seminars, and training for retail sales teams.
• Technical knowledge in fertilizers, soils, and crop nutrition.
• Experience in developing nutrient management programs adhering to Good Agronomic Practices (GAP).
• Familiarity with nutrient solution formulation using both straight and NPK fertilizers.
• Knowledgeable in using field equipment such as CE, pH meters, Brix meters, and ion meters for NO3, Ca, K, etc.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate soil, water, and plant nutritional values.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen customer-centric approach.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Outlook, Salesforce, and MapPoint.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors under various conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and an innovative problem solver.
• Commitment to ethical behavior and adherence to ICL policies.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to travel up to 85% within the region.
• A Master’s degree in Agronomy, MBA, Marketing, or Finance is preferred.
• Dedication to ongoing education and self-development.
• Experience working with international companies.
• Background in agricultural retail is advantageous.
• Valid U.S. visa required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is desirable.
