This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.
• Lead and oversee technical projects pertaining to digital identity, ensuring that delivery aligns with scope, timelines, quality, and governance standards.
• Convert business, policy, and regulatory requirements into well-defined technical objectives and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with technical teams, EU stakeholders, external suppliers, and other partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and advancement of digital identity solutions, including identity and access management, trust services, and digital/verifiable credentials.
• Evaluate technical specifications and implementation proposals, challenge design and implementation decisions, and assess related risks and dependencies.
• Monitor and address project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes effectively.
• Escalate issues with legal, policy, security, or cross-border implications when necessary.
• Assist with formal EU governance processes, which include project documentation, steering committees, deliverable assessments, and acceptance procedures.
• Clearly communicate complex technical and regulatory concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Facilitate informed decision-making among various stakeholder groups.
• A university degree in a relevant field.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in technical project management, digital identity, or a closely related technical area.
• Practical technical experience in digital identity, IAM, PKI, trust services, digital/verifiable credentials, or cybersecurity infrastructure.
• Experience with secure data exchange, e-government, or other regulated IT environments is also relevant.
• Familiarity with the EU digital identity framework, including eIDAS and the EU Digital Identity Wallet.
• Understanding of Verifiable Credentials, OpenID4VC/VP, electronic attestations of attributes, and trust models is beneficial.
• Professional experience in working with EU or national policy-making and governance processes, including legislation, implementing/delegated acts, expert groups, formal governance, or compliance-driven IT projects.
• Capability to bridge technical and policy perspectives, comprehending the regulatory, data protection, security, procurement, and cross-border implications of technical decisions.
• Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Proficient command of English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
