Technical Program Manager – Delivery, Sprint Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete sprint process involving various teams.

• Lead the activities of sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Oversee Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.

• Ensure that tickets are accurately defined, prioritized, estimated, and monitored.

• Coordinate dependencies among Engineering, Data Engineering, AI, Product, and Operations teams.

• Track project progress while proactively identifying risks, blockers, and delays.

• Maintain delivery roadmaps to ensure alignment with business priorities.

• Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Monitor team capacity, sprint velocity, and overall delivery performance.

• Establish and enhance project management processes and best practices.

• Generate regular status updates and executive-level reports.

• Foster accountability and ensure follow-through on all ongoing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Technical Program Management, Delivery Management, Project Management, or a related field.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing software and data-centric projects.

• Advanced proficiency in Jira, including workflow design, dashboards, reporting, and backlog management.

• In-depth knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Experience in coordinating multiple teams and managing competing priorities.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to grasp technical concepts and collaborate effectively with engineers, data scientists, and product teams.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.

• Experience in dynamic startup or technology environments.
