This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Oversees large-scale programs from initiation to completion by organizing meetings with project stakeholders.
• Creates, evaluates, and oversees project plans, timelines, and resource estimates.
• Manages project finances and provides analysis and justification for costs and their impact on the budget.
• Monitors overall project performance against established plans and makes necessary adjustments.
• Identifies and resolves issues as they arise.
• Assists in the request for information and vendor proposal processes as directed.
• Leads program teams by assembling resources to align team members' skills and strengths with project requirements.
• Clearly communicates the vision of project goals and objectives to the team.
• Coordinates team activities to ensure the achievement of project milestones.
• Provides performance feedback to team members when necessary.
• Manages, controls, and mitigates risks across interdependent projects by analyzing and identifying triggering events.
• Develops contingency plans as needed.
• Influences leadership to act on proposed recommendations.
• Ensures alignment, buy-in, and support from diverse project stakeholders.
• Collaborates closely with program sponsors and/or review boards to establish program goals.
• Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs.
• Negotiates and prepares contracts while considering financial conditions, resources, and contractual obligations.
• Ensures compliance with master plans and schedules, devises solutions to program challenges, and directs the work of team members from various departments.
• Tracks and reports key metrics as necessary.
• Collects, maintains, and shares lessons learned and feedback with project teams, leadership, and the broader project management community.
• Proficient in English.
• High proficiency level is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
• Program Management Professional (PgPM) certification is preferred.
• Over 7 years of project management experience overseeing multiple medium to high complexity projects in a matrix resource environment.
• At least 2 years of experience leading teams.
• More than 5 years of experience in software or systems testing.
• Experience in influencing and managing project teams without formal direct reporting relationships.
• Familiarity with managing System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects using an iterative methodology is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of PMI-based project management competency areas and methodologies.
• Proven leadership in managing multi-company, cross-functional teams and/or projects.
• Strong analytical skills necessary for effectively managing budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, process management, risk management, quality control, and reporting activities.
• Demonstrated ability and commitment to managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills required for developing and maintaining system-wide and external relationships.
