This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Deliver technical pre-sales assistance for BESS products throughout Italy.
• Engage with customers to provide technical clarifications and present solutions in partnership with the Sales team.
• Design and configure BESS solutions, which includes product selection, system sizing, technical preparations, yield simulations, and cost-related quotation inputs.
• Take part in tender and bidding processes, preparing or reviewing technical bid documents as needed.
• Assist in technical contract negotiations and draft technical specifications and agreements.
• Offer daily technical support to customers and internal Sales teams regarding BESS product and system queries.
• Assess customer requirements, grid standards, and evaluate project feasibility.
• Serve as the technical liaison between Sales, HQ technical teams, and clients.
• Conduct internal and external technical training sessions, system simulations, and technical presentations.
• Represent the company at technical meetings, customer discussions, webinars, trade shows, and industry events.
• Aid in product certification activities in pertinent European markets.
• Monitor customer requirements, market trends, technology advancements, competitor offerings, product roadmaps, and technical developments.
• Collaborate with component manufacturers and internal teams to ensure BESS compatibility with external components and system interfaces.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of technical documentation, solution templates, and product-related processes.
• Report directly to the Head of Technical Europe.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Physics, Power Systems, or a relevant technical field.
• Generally, 3–7 years of experience in the PV and/or energy storage sector.
• Demonstrated experience in BESS technical support, system design, or pre-sales engineering.
• Strong comprehension of energy storage systems, grid requirements, and customer technical expectations.
• Experience in supporting utility-scale or commercial energy storage projects is highly desired.
• Proficiency in the Italian language (C1 level) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in the English language (C1 level) is mandatory.
• Solid technical knowledge of energy storage systems and solution design.
• Capability to convert customer requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver technical trainings and customer presentations.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused working approach.
• Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work autonomously and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Good understanding of system integration and technical compatibility needs.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Italy, with occasional travel within Europe, customer site visits, technical trainings, and industry events.
