This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and direct Technical Implementation Leads and Software Developers in executing customer-oriented healthcare interoperability projects and strategic initiatives.
• Deliver proactive technical leadership throughout discovery, solution design, estimation, implementation planning, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and operational readiness tasks.
• Manage the technical implementation across multiple simultaneous customer projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, scalability, maintainability, and alignment with customer expectations.
• Offer practical technical advice on HL7 FHIR, HL7 v2, CDA/CCDA, REST APIs, data mapping, SQL, validation, integration workflows, troubleshooting, and best practices for implementation.
• Engage in technical discussions with customers, handle escalations, conduct root cause analyses, develop mitigation plans, craft executive summaries, and assist in troubleshooting during implementations.
• Work closely with Product, QA, CloudOps, Support, Architecture, Agile Leads, and Customer Success teams to provide scalable and sustainable customer solutions.
• Create and sustain reusable implementation resources, including buildbooks, implementation playbooks, troubleshooting guides, reference architectures, and solution/problem pattern libraries.
• Recognize recurring implementation challenges, operational shortcomings, customer pain points, and technical risks, converting them into actionable process enhancements, feature requests, and bug reports.
• Enhance implementation quality through technical reviews, adherence to implementation standards, testing methodologies, peer mentorship, and minimizing delivery defects and rework.
• Mentor and assist Technical Implementation Leads and Software Developers with technical coaching, prioritization support, workload management, and professional growth.
• Ensure thorough documentation of implementation work via Jira, technical documentation, testing evidence, operational handover materials, and implementation standards.
• Investigate, assess, and propose technologies, implementation patterns, and operational enhancements for both new and existing customer solutions and platform capabilities.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, technical implementations, healthcare interoperability, clinical informatics, or comparable senior-level technical delivery experience, along with at least 3 years of experience in managing and/or leading technical teams.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native environments, distributed systems, monitoring, event-driven architectures, healthcare platform deployments, and cloud implementation methodologies.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting customer-oriented implementation, integration, data ingestion, scalability, performance, infrastructure, and operational challenges in complex enterprise settings.
• Experience with relational and/or distributed database technologies such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, or similar enterprise data platforms.
• Strong comprehension of software development and implementation lifecycle management, including solution design, estimation, APIs, HL7 FHIR, HL7 v2, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, deployment coordination, and versioning.
• Extensive healthcare domain knowledge, including payer, provider, interoperability, terminology, CMS, or regulatory healthcare implementation programs.
• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engaging in customer-facing technical discussions and escalations.
• Preferred post-secondary education in informatics, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field and/or equivalent practical experience.
