Technical Manager, APAC Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct the daily operations of regional technical personnel, consultants, and distributor field technicians in Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and emerging markets.

• Deliver proactive leadership through coaching, site visits, and performance evaluations to ensure consistent quality and compliance with CarbonCure standards.

• Create and uphold a thorough technical competency program, which encompasses onboarding and training for employees, distributors, and third-party partners.

• Establish and promote best practices concerning safety, installation, troubleshooting, concrete testing, and customer communication.

• Own and implement the regional technical strategy in line with APAC roadmaps for Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and additional developing markets.

• Manage relationships and workflows with external laboratories to fulfill testing requirements for cement validation.

• Supervise resource-limited service models in smaller markets such as Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, ensuring dependable customer support and escalation pathways.

• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, minimize downtime, and standardize processes throughout the region.

• Establish and improve regional capabilities for equipment assembly, refurbishment, and maintenance to decrease lead times and boost reliability.

• Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to offer field insights that can impact product design, quality enhancements, and operational advancements.

• Lead APAC regulatory strategies, including securing and maintaining certifications such as JIS (Japan), KS (Korea), and other standards necessary for market entry and ongoing operations.

• Act as a representative for CarbonCure at technical symposiums, regulatory meetings, and partner discussions as a regional subject-matter expert.


⛳️ Requirements

• Strong technical expertise in concrete mix design management.

• Experience in hardware engineering, industrial equipment, software systems, and field service operations are valuable assets.

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing dispersed technical teams across various countries and cultures.

• Previous experience in the concrete, construction, or industrial equipment industry.

• Knowledge of construction-related regulatory approval processes; familiarity with JIS, KS, or similar standards is a benefit.

• Strategic mindset with the capability to execute operational tasks while contributing to long-term regional growth objectives.

• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, technical services, engineering, and product development teams.

• Bilingual capabilities, with a strong preference for Japanese and English; additional APAC languages such as Korean or Cantonese are advantageous.
