This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Develop and implement advanced data models utilizing SQL.
β’ Collaborate closely with fellow Software Engineers to ensure robust and scalable implementations.
β’ Serve as the technical authority on our team for all data-related matters, particularly as the data team continues to grow and evolve.
β’ Bring in new technologies to advance and improve our data pipeline capabilities.
β’ Create documentation for data models, architectural choices, and data dictionaries to facilitate collaboration, maintainability, and usability of our analytics platforms and code.
β’ Support governance, provide guidance, conduct code reviews, and manage access controls to maintain consistency, quality, and business confidentiality while scaling analytics access across the organization and to customers.
β’ Externally: familiarize yourself with our application data schema and develop expertise in transforming it to enhance customer decision-making with data.
β’ Internally: mentor product and development teams, advising on instrumentation and establishing development foundations for product usage reporting.
β’ Complete projects with minimal oversight while knowing when and how to collaborate with others.
β’ Construct scalable, high-performance infrastructure for delivering clear business insights from diverse raw data sources.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
β’ 7-11 years of experience in building ETL (Extraction Transform Load) or ELT (Extraction Load Transform) pipelines from the ground up.
β’ Proficient in relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), data modeling, and database design.
β’ Strong skills in Python and experience in developing production web applications using Python.
β’ Familiarity with cloud-based services (AWS RDS preferred).
β’ Experience in developing or administering BI/data visualization platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Mode, Data Studio, Domo, QlikView, etc.).
β’ Basic knowledge of data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.
β’ Proven ability to convert data into clear, actionable narratives and communicate relevant opportunities and challenges to stakeholders.
β’ You must be adaptable and flexible, as you will be working in a fast-paced startup environment.

β’ Additionally, we maintain physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai, and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office setting either part-time or full-time.
