Technical Lead, Automation Testing – Golden Master Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development and management of Unit & Characterization tests (Golden Master generation) to ensure the accuracy of ported C++ business logic in relation to legacy behavior.

• Establish and uphold test automation, Quality Assurance processes, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) along with DevOps activities.

• Incorporate workflows and deliverables into the current CI/CD pipelines, enforcing rigorous Quality Gates to achieve a 100% match with the golden master and limit performance regressions to below 10% compared to the C++ baseline.

• Spearhead the development of a thorough test suite aimed at achieving at least 3,200 total test cases and over 80% code path coverage across essential components such as Node Managers, Event Handlers, Business Rules, and the BRG Module.

• Perform performance profiling and testing to satisfy Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) such as throughput of 7,000–8,000 TPS and event processing latency of less than 5ms.

• Prioritize the validation of critical modernization elements, including IPC behavior, cache operations (L1/L2 Redis tiering), and Node Manager state transitions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in the IT sector, showcasing an in-depth understanding of testing strategies, methodologies, and automation within complex software development environments.

• Required Experience: Automated testing for both Java and C++ codebases.

• Technical Stack: Strong expertise in Java (specifically Java 21) and familiarity with high-availability/high-performance (HA/HP) systems.

• Testing Methodology: Extensive experience with Golden Master Testing and the creation of characterization tests.

• AI/Automation Skills: Demonstrated capability to implement AI-assisted test generation and automation, including performance profiling and testing.

• Domain Knowledge: Quick adaptability to understand and validate telecom-specific protocols (SS7 and Diameter) that interact with the modernized application logic.

• CI/CD: Proven experience in integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and setting performance baselines.

• Strong debugging skills and experience (e.g., analyzing log files, identifying patterns).

• Familiarity with tools for tracking and documenting development processes (JIRA, Notion, git) is a plus.

• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD).

• Effective communicator with fluency in both written and spoken English.
