Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical authority within the team, leading architectural decisions, establishing coding standards, and ensuring engineering excellence while also being a hands-on contributor.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager and Product Designer to refine, assess, and detail epics and features, converting business needs into clearly defined technical solutions.

• Assist the Engineering Manager in mentoring and coaching team members, performing code reviews, and promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

• Proactively utilize and advocate for agentic AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle, establishing best practices and fostering adoption within the team.

• Coordinate with other Technical Leads, architecture, and cloud teams to ensure alignment on technical direction, shared standards, and inter-team dependencies.

• Engage in customer support escalations, offering technical expertise to diagnose issues and facilitate their resolution.

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions for intricate technical challenges, making significant contributions to the team’s codebase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline.

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software development, showcasing technical leadership within a team setting.

• Strong expertise in one or more of the team's core technology stack areas (.NET, MSSQL, modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks).

• In-depth understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity with the ability to apply them to real-world performance challenges.

• Comprehensive knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming patterns.

• Experience in designing scalable distributed systems for high-load scenarios, including architectural patterns, API design, and performance optimization.

• Proven history of building production systems adhering to clean code principles, thorough testing practices, and well-designed RESTful APIs with optimized database interactions.

• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows (Git).

• Capability to deconstruct complex requirements into actionable technical tasks and provide accurate effort estimates.

• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices.
