Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and continuously enhance the backend architecture of the platform.

• Create scalable, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions for intricate product requirements.

• Collaborate with the Head of AI and other stakeholders to make architectural and technical decisions.

• Convert high-level product and business requirements into precise technical solutions.

• Mentor developers and aid in their technical and professional growth.

• Enhance system performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability.

• Provide support for the product as it transitions into production and expands across additional modules and business processes.

• Encourage the effective utilization of AI and LLM-based tools within the engineering workflow.

• Design intricate backend solutions and break them down into actionable tasks.

• Assist engineers during implementation and conduct code reviews.

• Help uphold high engineering standards throughout the product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of commercial software engineering experience.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Python backend development.

• Significant commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing backend architecture for complex applications.

• Experience in building scalable, high-load, or high-throughput systems.

• Deep understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Experience in designing systems with multiple services, modules, or integrations.

• Strong proficiency with relational databases.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.

• Experience leading developers, reviewing pull requests, mentoring engineers, and fostering professional growth.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach to architecture.

• Practical understanding of modern AI-assisted development tools.

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

• Nice to have: Experience in healthcare products.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Redis or similar caching and data-processing technologies.

• Nice to have: Experience with AI-powered products, automation platforms, or agent-based systems.
