Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise software systems that cater to federal mission requirements.

• Propel engineering initiatives throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment.

• Create scalable, secure, and easily maintainable backend applications utilizing contemporary engineering best practices.

• Design and develop APIs using REST and GraphQL frameworks.

• Facilitate discussions on system design, conduct architecture reviews, and guide technical decision-making processes.

• Collaborate with product, architecture, DevSecOps, and infrastructure teams to provide cohesive technical solutions.

• Diagnose intricate application, integration, and system performance challenges.

• Contribute to cloud modernization efforts, application refactoring, and enhancements in platform engineering.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, while establishing engineering standards and best practices.

• Aid in secure software delivery, ensuring code quality, implementing testing automation, and integrating CI/CD pipelines.

• Convert business and mission requirements into actionable technical implementation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 9 years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly in enterprise application development.

• Strong practical experience with Java, Spring Boot, OpenJDK, GraphQL, and REST APIs.

• Proven experience in designing distributed systems, microservices, integrations, and scalable enterprise applications.

• Comprehensive understanding of software architecture, system design, design patterns, and engineering best practices.

• Experience in building cloud-native applications within AWS or Azure environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control, and DevSecOps workflows.

• Knowledge of secure software development principles, API security, and application security best practices.

• Experience in troubleshooting production systems, optimizing performance, and providing operational support.

• Excellent communication skills and technical leadership capabilities.
