This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Creating engaging experiences that challenge conventions and offer innovative gameplay.
• Overseeing the development of major gameplay elements from inception to completion, utilizing skills such as Blueprint Scripting, Replication, Sequences, and Replays.
• Working closely with design leaders to craft and enhance captivating gameplay experiences.
• Utilizing Unreal Blueprint for in-game content execution.
• Serving as the primary resource for intricate content implementation that tests existing systems or necessitates substantial input from artists, designers, and engineers.
• Iterating, refining, and balancing gameplay mechanics and systems.
• Championing an immersive player experience and developing compelling user narratives.
• Conducting tests and validating your work on targeted hardware.
• At least one year of game design experience in the gaming industry.
• 1–2 years of experience with Unreal Engine 5 in a design or technical design role on production-quality professional, academic, or personal projects.
• Self-driven and proactive in recognizing design and technical challenges, with a readiness to seek help when needed.
• Proficient in visual scripting languages, especially UE Blueprints (1-2 years).
• Demonstrated capability to create functional prototypes.
• Familiarity with coding principles, including data types, logical operators, functions, and inheritance.
• Strong analytical and creative thinking abilities with a deep understanding of gameplay mechanics and how to craft engaging player experiences.
• Technically adept and able to work independently within a small team context as part of a larger collaborative effort.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.
• Passionate about video games.
• English proficiency: B2 or higher is required.
• Bonus points:
• Experience in developing multiplayer games.
• Experience with shipped titles.
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine with the Gameplay Ability System (GAS), Verse, and World Partition.
• Experience with coding in C++ or C#.
• Additional technical skills in animation, UI/widgets, and advanced Blueprint systems.
• Exposure to multiplayer projects or performance optimization workflows.
