Technical Field Service Specialist – PowerGen Stationary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Global support for customers, distributors, and service dealers in the domains of engines and combined heat and power (CHP) systems.

• Performing troubleshooting, service, and maintenance tasks.

• Carrying out damage assessments and repairs on-site.

• Diagnosing faults and optimizing plant operations.

• Assisting Product Support (internal service) with remote troubleshooting, evaluation, and analysis of field issues.

• Providing advice and support to the service and sales teams regarding service and maintenance matters.

• Independently creating solutions for technical challenges on-site.

• Onboarding new service partners for mtu gas systems across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions.

• Handling pre- and post-deployment tasks (home office is an option).

⛳️ Requirements

• Successfully completed training as a technician or master craftsman in mechanical or mechatronics fields, or a similar qualification.

• Experience in field/customer service with a confident approach to interacting with customers and service partners.

• Strong knowledge of combustion engines.

• Solid understanding of control and automation technology is advantageous.

• Background in CHP technology or experience with heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems is a plus.

• Proficient in German and English, both spoken and written; additional languages are beneficial.

• Good IT skills at the user level.

• Strong organizational skills with a systematic and independent working style.

• High level of flexibility, commitment, and motivation.

• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 90%), both domestically and internationally.
