Technical Fellow, Software Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop platform capabilities through hands-on involvement: design and deliver essential platform services from start to finish.

• Oversee the architecture and standards of the platform.

• Enhance AI-first software delivery by creating and refining templates, pipelines, and optimal pathways.

• Take responsibility for the reliability, security, and costs of the services you create.

• Establish the technical standards and provide mentorship: elevate the skills of platform and operating-company engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 20 years of experience in platform-related fields (platform engineering, cloud computing, DevOps, SRE, and software engineering).

• Practical experience in building internal developer platforms and shared services utilized by multiple teams or business units.

• Strong, up-to-date hands-on expertise with AWS (or Azure/GCP).

• Extensive hands-on experience with CI/CD and GitOps.

• Experience in production ownership: SLIs and SLOs, error budgets, observability, incident response, capacity planning, and reducing toil through automation.

• A highly skilled engineer with a strong design perspective.

• Practical knowledge of cloud-native security.

• Proven history of influencing reference architectures and engineering standards.

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and agentic coding workflows.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
