This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri, +1 more state.
• Oversee technical relationships and act as the main contact for 10 strategically selected design firm headquarters accounts.
• Foster and sustain partnerships with influential decision-makers, technical leads, and engineers.
• Create and implement account growth strategies to enhance ABB's presence within assigned firms.
• Manage and monitor budget targets for ABB project designs, ensuring performance aligns with revenue objectives.
• Ensure uniform technical messaging and account strategies across different regions.
• Assist Field Application Engineers with escalations and intricate customer challenges.
• Offer technical consultation and engineering advice during project design and specification stages.
• Aid in proposal development, design assessments, and technical presentations.
• Address complex technical queries and coordinate solutions across various ABB business units.
• Guide and mentor Field Application Engineers across multiple locations in the US.
• Collaborate with the sales EPC team on unified account development strategies.
• Work together with ABB internal teams and business units to provide integrated solutions that enhance customer value and drive revenue growth.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, preferably in electrical.
• At least eight (8) years of experience in the electrical distribution sector.
• Expertise in MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, and arc flash mitigation technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to consider diverse perspectives and resolve technical challenges.
• Strong problem-solving skills and capability to develop new customer relationships.
• Self-motivated, responsible for outcomes, and able to work independently without detailed guidance.
• Ability to establish and maintain partnership relationships within the regional engineering consulting community.
• Must possess authorization to work for ABB in the US.
• Preferred: prior field, plant, or design engineering experience in electrical power systems with major oil and gas companies, electric utilities, or industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, and UL industry codes and standards.
• Short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
