This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Create custom network security models for customers, review and authorize advanced security configurations based on best practices and standards, and participate personally in initial deployments of the solution as well as in proof of concepts.
• Engage in the pre-sales process, assisting the sales engineer in presenting the appropriate security posture to the customer.
• Keep abreast of updates, technologies, and best practices in the industry related to networking security to enhance overall security management and stay informed about new technical developments and trends.
• Collaborate with Partners/Vendors to meet agreed customer expectations.
• Develop and endorse technical standards, reference architectures, deployment guides, and technology roadmaps in close coordination with product management.
• Generate technical documentation and revise standards and guidelines as necessary.
• The TDA Security may be assigned to one or more existing customer accounts to provide support during and after the delivery process.
• Customers will view the TDA as the 'subject matter expert' for technical advice and consultancy on any security-related topic.
• In this capacity, the candidate may be requested to occasionally work on-site at customer locations.
• At least 4 years of experience in the network security field.
• Ability to develop design solutions (both physical and logical) that adhere to engineering best practices.
• Proven knowledge of Fortinet and Palo Alto security design concepts, along with implementation and support experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a multi-vendor, enterprise-scale environment.
• Familiarity with technology methodologies such as ITIL V3.
• Serve as a security expert within the Managed Services Team for Service Delivery, Engineering, Operations, Product, and Project Management.
• Knowledge of offensive or defensive hacking is an advantage.
• Experience and knowledge in Fortinet and Palo Alto security design concepts, implementation, and support.
• Understanding of SASE and SSE environments and concepts.
• Experience in multi-platform design, implementation, and support.
• Working knowledge of SD-WAN technologies (such as Aruba Edgeconnect, VMWare Velocloud, Forti Secure SD-WAN).
• Security architecture and design experience for multi-platform solutions catering to managed security service clients.
• Serve as a technical lead during project planning, management, and implementation phases of client solutions (including Pilot and POC deployments).
• Participate in project calls with clients to review and document low-level design requirements, best practices, and provide consultancy regarding security posture.
• Establish and regularly update security posture standards for end-clients.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into architectural building blocks.
• Assist in identifying and resolving security-related issues during project deployment.
• Awareness of the financial implications of strategic and operational decisions, with the capability to identify opportunities for cost reductions.
