This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Supervise the evaluation and enhancement of security technologies across client data center initiatives.
• Examine, oversee, and verify construction tasks, installations, testing, commissioning, and contractor outputs.
• Ensure that all work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
• Recognize and articulate risks within the campus portfolio, communicating options for risk treatment and acceptance.
• Collaborate with the Client team to prioritize recognized risks and treatment strategies.
• Spot and escalate non-conformances while coordinating corrective measures with vendors, contractors, and engineers.
• Provide oversight for outage planning, work schedules, and project completion activities.
• Act as the client’s representative on-site and maintain comprehensive quality records.
• Observe and document essential system tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system startups.
• Assess building security systems, including mechanical and electrical components, for compliance.
• Perform risk assessments for client data center locations and identify significant security issues.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of security systems.
• Keep thorough inspection reports, logs, and compliance records.
• Oversee corrective measures, final inspections, punch lists, and project closures.
• Confirm the quality of materials, craftsmanship, and equipment installations.
• Partner with contractors, engineers, and inspectors to address challenges.
• Represent the Client in accordance with contract stipulations and project deliverables.
• Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in assurance, particularly in Data Center Security or another highly secured environment.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments for Data Centers is mandatory.
• PSP certification is preferred.
• Must be proficient in working independently while engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
• Experience in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, submittals, shop drawings, method statements, inspection test plans, and QA/QC documentation.
• Ability to identify quality risks, installation flaws, incomplete work, and documentation shortcomings before they impact commissioning or operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to work iteratively and produce high-quality documents and outputs that require minimal rework.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven history of earning leadership trust, challenging conventional practices, enhancing team performance, fostering growth, increasing efficiency, and leading without formal authority.
• Ability to think creatively, challenge industry standards, and adapt swiftly to changing requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% on short notice within the region.
