Technical Consultant – ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• The ServiceNow Technical Consultant is tasked with the technical administration, configuration, maintenance, and operational support of the global ServiceNow platform at SGB-SMIT.

• This role is centered on ensuring a stable, secure, and efficient platform operation, facilitating technical implementations, maintaining integrations, and supporting standardized ServiceNow solutions in accordance with internal governance and platform standards.

• Oversee the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the global ServiceNow platform.

• Manage user, group, and role access controls, as well as permissions for catalog items, forms, templates, and notifications.

• Monitor platform health, performance, and scheduled jobs.

• Assist with instance housekeeping and system maintenance tasks.

• Diagnose platform issues and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and external partners.

• Ensure that platform configurations remain stable, compliant, and safe for upgrades.

• Configure and maintain ServiceNow modules, primarily including: -ITSM -SPM -IRM -Other modules as dictated by the roadmap and business demands.

• Implement and support: Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies / UI Actions, Data Policies, and Flow Designer automations.

• Develop and maintain forms, views, tables, and workflows.

• Assist in the testing and deployment of new technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow administration and technical configuration.

• Background in platform support, administration, or technical consulting roles.

• Experience in enterprise IT environments with multiple stakeholders and integrated systems.

• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow administration.

• Technical understanding of JavaScript within the ServiceNow context and REST / SOAP interfaces.

• Familiarity with ITSM processes and CMDB basics (preferred) as well as the ServiceNow data model and table structure.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – highly preferred / ideal.

• Certified Application Developer (CAD) – advantageous.

• Additional ServiceNow implementation certifications – beneficial.

• Structured and dependable working style.

• High attention to detail and quality.

• Team-oriented collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently in an international environment.

• Proficient communication skills in English.
