Technical Consultant – Data & AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee data consulting projects from initial discovery to implementation and final handover.

• Conduct workshops to identify customer challenges and establish suitable data solutions.

• Provide guidance to clients on enterprise data strategy, governance, data quality, and best practices in data management.

• Design and implement data landing zones in accordance with the principles of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.

• Execute comprehensive data platform projects that include architecture, deployment, configuration, and optimization.

• Collaborate with Architects and AI experts to enhance machine learning and AI initiatives.

• Assist in the creation of repeatable frameworks and methodologies for data and AI delivery.

• Serve as a technical escalation point, aiding colleagues with intricate technical issues.

• Keep abreast of advancements in Microsoft data technologies, analytics, and AI platforms.

• Aid in resource planning and skill development initiatives across the broader practice.

• Contribute to the development of reusable assets, accelerators, frameworks, and reference architectures.

• Support pre-sales efforts including discovery sessions, demonstrations, proposals, and client presentations.

• Establish trusted relationships with clients and offer guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in data engineering, analytics, or data platform roles.

• Background in delivering consultancy or professional services that engage directly with customers.

• Strong comprehension of enterprise data architecture principles.

• Experience in designing and implementing data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.

• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management frameworks.

• Proficient in SQL with experience in Python or PySpark.

• Familiarity with Databricks and various Microsoft data technologies.

• Knowledge of how contemporary data platforms facilitate AI and machine learning workloads.

• Excellent skills in workshop facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management.

• Exceptional technical documentation and writing capabilities.

• Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving.

• Awareness of commercial aspects and a customer-oriented approach.

• Ability to blend strategic consulting with practical technical implementation.
