Technical Automation Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a technology delivery team to implement top-tier security solutions using contemporary software engineering methodologies.

• Define, design, estimate, plan, and execute business requirements in collaboration with Product Management, internal stakeholders, and customers.

• Produce high-quality, thoroughly tested code.

• Methodically troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Continuously enhance personal skills, team performance, and the broader organization, along with the tools and processes used to deliver and support technology for the Binary Defense SOC.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in system engineering for security platforms (SIEMs, EDRs, etc.).

• Proficient in developing and implementing automation solutions to support security operations and internal teams.

• Skilled in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and agents to expedite automation engineering, improve code quality, and facilitate rapid iterations.

• A strong interest in security automation and a solid understanding of security incident response.

• Familiarity with security frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, etc.

• Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Advocate for and experience in environments utilizing CI/CD, Test Automation, and Monitoring.

• Proficient with GIT or other version control systems.

• Experience in the incremental delivery of features as part of a Software Development Life Cycle.

• Proven ability to work effectively with distributed teams.

• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, etc.) are advantageous.
