This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Develop intricate backend and integration solutions, encompassing modules, extensions, services, GraphQL/REST endpoints, and data synchronization.
• Take the lead in debugging and enhancing performance on high-traffic production environments.
• Examine code and refactor it purposefully.
• Take ownership of the complete technical design process, including data models, API agreements, extension strategies, integration topology, and failure/reconciliation processes.
• Contribute to the establishment of coding standards and architectural guidelines, ensuring adherence in your projects.
• Provide mentorship to developers through collaborative pairing and design discussions.
• Engage in scoping and roadmap discussions, offering insights into feasibility and project sizing for proposals.
• Directly represent the technical stance to clients.
• Manage projects comprehensively across various client accounts and concurrent implementation initiatives.
• Influence the application of internal AI tools and methodologies in client engagements.
• Extensive senior-level experience in owning the complete technical design of complex commerce projects while remaining actively engaged in coding.
• Experience in production environments across multiple platforms or stacks, including at least one acquired through practical application.
• Profound knowledge in at least one of the following: Adobe Commerce (Magento 2), BigCommerce (including B2B Edition and Catalyst), or OroCommerce.
• Experience with custom extension development, catalog management, pricing strategies, checkout processes, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience in building significant integrations with ERP, OMS/WMS, or financial systems.
• Familiarity with managing integration idempotency, reconciliation, partial failures, and replay processes.
• Competence in diagnosing and resolving real-time performance issues on high-traffic commerce applications, including assessing impact and communicating changes.
• Ability to effectively engage in client discussions, translate ambiguous requirements into clear strategies, and provide accurate estimates.
