Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement technical solutions within Origin’s technology ecosystem.

• Lead technical workstreams and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

• Convert functional requirements into technical specifications, integration patterns, and configuration strategies.

• Engage in hands-on development, configuration, and troubleshooting activities.

• Address technical gaps throughout the project's lifecycle.

• Tackle complex challenges and deliver practical, scalable solutions.

• Utilize Meter-to-Cash, CIS, edge systems, and integration expertise in utility client projects.

• Participate in design reviews, technical evaluations, and cross-team discussions.

• Act as a trusted technical subject-matter expert for client stakeholders.

• Manage expectations concerning scope, timelines, and technical feasibility; escalate risks as needed.

• Provide technical content for proposals, estimates, and change requests.

• Learn and support Origin’s SaaS platform architecture, operational processes, and support model.

• Assist senior architects with platform documentation, maintenance, and operational troubleshooting.

• Contribute to knowledge transfer, process clarity, shared technical ownership, and mitigation of single-point-of-failure risks.

• Aid in platform-related client issue resolution under the guidance of senior technical staff.

• Take on increasing responsibility for various platform components.

• Mentor junior team members, review deliverables, and share solution patterns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the US.

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems (Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS).

• Experience with Windows Server/Workstation for administration, troubleshooting, and deployment.

• Proficient in Shell and Batch scripting.

• Skilled in WLST scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL for configuration and automation tasks.

• Experience in installing, configuring, patching, and maintaining OUAF-based applications (CC&B, MDM, C2M, CCS), Oracle WebLogic, GoldenGate, Linux, and middleware components.

• Practical experience with monitoring and security tools such as Datadog.

• Working knowledge of Oracle Database 19c and MongoDB for administration, query execution, schema review, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in developing non-functional requirements, including performance, load and stress testing, failover/DR testing, and batch tuning.

• Capable of validating non-functional requirements and ensuring environment readiness.

• Able to produce clear and audit-ready procedural, operational, and deployment documentation.

• Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic integration patterns, Oracle Utilities integration frameworks, and connectivity considerations between environments.

• 6+ years of relevant experience and/or training.

• Experience with solution development, implementation, and support in utility technology environments.

• Strong understanding of Meter-to-Cash processes and CIS-related integration patterns.

• Ability to carry out technical tasks consistently, with thorough follow-through and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and capability to collaborate across both technical and functional teams.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, computer systems, or a related field.

• Desired: Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Identity Cloud Service (IDCS), Docker, Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE), Oracle SOA Suite, SGG/MDM/OSB, Direct Integration, FWPIP Integration, Jaspersoft, Jenkins, SFTPgo, Java, COBOL, enterprise monitoring, observability, and security platforms.
