
Technical Advisor I – Safe and Dignified Programming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer technical guidance and support on various program design and implementation matters related to Safe and Dignified Programming.
• Assist in the development and contribute to the execution of organization-wide strategies, standards, tools, and best practices in Safe and Dignified Programming.
• Deliver technical solutions to project teams, both remotely and on-site, focusing on strategic planning and optimal application of standards, best practices, partnership principles, tools, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E).
• Participate in the creation of the technical design for proposals and support the preparation, design, submission, and approval processes of project concepts and comprehensive proposals.
• Facilitate capacity-building initiatives in Safe and Dignified Programming for both staff and partners.
• Gather and analyze program data, documenting and disseminating lessons learned and best practices for specific projects.
• Help maintain relationships with donors, peer organizations, research institutions, and other entities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, or Humanitarian Action is required.
• A minimum of five to eight years of experience in Safe and Dignified Programming/Protection Mainstreaming and PSEA with increasing responsibilities, preferably in an international NGO, including at least two years of relevant field experience in Safe and Dignified Programming.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), web conferencing tools, information and budget management systems, and knowledge-sharing networks.
• Familiarity with technical principles and concepts in Safe and Dignified Programming.
• General understanding of related disciplines to ensure an effective cross-sectoral approach.
• Experience in project design and proposal development, including writing content for proposals.
• Awareness of capacity-strengthening best practices.
• Background in program monitoring and evaluation, including analysis.
• Proven experience and skills in networking and building relationships with donors, peer organizations, and faith-based civil society partners, along with an understanding of partnership principles.
• Strong relationship management abilities, capable of influencing and gaining support from individuals not under direct supervision and working effectively with diverse geographical and cultural groups.
• Excellent strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and systems thinking skills with the capacity to maintain a broad perspective and make informed judgments.
• Strong technical writing capabilities.
• Proficiency in presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching.
• A proactive, resourceful, and results-driven approach.
• A Master’s Degree in Social Inclusion or Protection Studies is an advantage.
• Must be located in or able to cover UTC +0 – UTC +4 time zones.
• Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic as an advantage; additional languages are a plus.
