This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Strategic Guidance: Provide expert counsel to the CPTO regarding technology and product development strategies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the company's roadmap.
• Ensure adherence to solid architecture and design principles, promoting scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Innovation and Trends Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive advancements, and regulatory changes to recommend necessary adjustments and innovations.
• Assess emerging technologies and their potential effects on the company’s products and services.
• Technology Partnerships: Oversee business and technical due diligence for potential acquisitions, partnerships, and vendor selections.
• Provide advice on risk management and mitigation strategies related to technology.
• Client and Partner Interaction: Represent Amwell in dealings with clients and partners. Prepare and lead high-stakes client discussions centered on product and technology.
• Analyze client and partner needs to assist the CPTO in executive and strategic dialogues.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure the seamless integration of technology solutions with business objectives.
• Convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in product management, software engineering, technical leadership, or architecture roles. Experience in product/strategy is essential, with engineering/architecture being highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in influencing without authority and providing counsel at the executive level.
• Strong strategic thinking capabilities that encompass both business and technology aspects.
• 10+ years of experience in Healthcare Technology, with a solid understanding of healthcare market dynamics and competition to foster differentiation and innovation. Experience with health plans is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in product and/or engineering roles within the last five years, with the ability to engage deeply in details.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Maturity and composure to represent the organization before executives, clients, and partners.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a Master’s in technology or an MBA is preferred.
