Technical Advanced Support Specialist – Level II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Act as the main contact for technical inquiries concerning Axalta products.

• Aid customers in selecting, mixing, and applying products from the Axalta range.

• Analyze paint film failures and application issues utilizing technical expertise, interviews, photos, and videos.

• Advise customers on activator and reducer options based on workshop conditions.

• Handle complex customer situations and escalate to internal resources as necessary.

• Determine when in-person technician visits are required and submit requests in Salesforce.

• Offer field support for customer conversion initiatives when needed.

• Record product and color quality complaints in Salesforce.

• Provide competitive insights, LAB crossovers, color formulas, and color tool support.

• Deliver expert customer assistance via phone, email, chat, and text.

• Supply SDS, COA, Certificates of Conformance, and help with EDS reports.

• Suggest enhancements for workflow and quality assurance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality challenges and process enhancements.

• Participate in product specialist training, group calls, technical broadcasts, and Color Council meetings.

• Investigate issues using resources like Seismic, Refinish Support, Salesforce, FSL, technical data sheets, and internal experts.

• Enhance knowledge articles and disseminate technical knowledge among colleagues.

• Facilitate quarterly meetings on color and technical updates.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in collision repair painting, including experience in a production refinish setting.

• Proficient in both Axalta solvent and waterborne systems.

• Capable of diagnosing paint application issues, recognizing likely causes of failure, and articulating corrective measures effectively.

• Strong technical skills and troubleshooting abilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and ongoing improvement.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in customer support or technical service is preferred.
