Technical Account Manager 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance on technical support and product adoption for clients during pre-sales, post-sales, and renewal phases.

• Regularly assess the customer’s IT Operations environment and offer recommendations to enhance the value of Datadog.

• Act as the customer’s representative by understanding their objectives and use cases, while recommending process improvements, product utilization, configurations, and additional features to fulfill their needs.

• Engage in the preparation for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with clients.

• Work closely with Datadog’s product management, engineering, and technical services teams to identify new features and products.

• Continuously refine best practices for technical product adoption and customer success.

⛳️ Requirements

• A candidate with a strong technical background and hands-on experience in IT Operations.

• Proficient with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, Ruby, Perl, Go, PHP, or Chef/Puppet, etc.

• Expertise in using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Gitlab.

• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.

• Ability to sit for up to 4 hours while traveling to and from client locations.

• Willingness to travel by car, train, or plane up to 30% of the time.

• Previous experience as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) supporting mid-market and/or enterprise clients in the cloud sector.

• Experienced in using Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring solutions.
