Tech Lead – Voice Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will have full technical ownership of the Recare Voice Native product – a voice-first experience that captures clinical dictation and conversations, transforming them into structured data while providing users with real-time guidance to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Your role is positioned at the crossroads of real-time mobile UX, AI-driven processing, and sensitive healthcare workflows where speed, reliability, and privacy are of utmost importance.

• You are responsible for the technical direction of Voice Native – overseeing roadmap execution, ensuring delivery predictability, and maintaining high-quality releases.

• You lead the team as the technical backbone and point of escalation, ensuring clarity, speed, and effective execution.

• You collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and clinical stakeholders to define scope, manage trade-offs, remove obstacles to delivery, and communicate risks promptly.

• You design and enhance the voice capture experience, including recording controls, session state, offline/online behavior, and safe failure modes.

• You empower the team through mentorship, coaching, code reviews, and swift removal of blockers.

• You drive performance, reliability, observability, and privacy/security across all voice workflows within a healthcare environment.

• You build and deploy robust mobile applications utilizing React Native and TypeScript, ensuring seamless asynchronous and real-time interactions.

• You guarantee production readiness through stable releases, comprehensive runbooks, and measurable SLAs.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess over 6 years of professional software development experience, having led and owned technical directions and team outcomes from start to finish.

• You have strong proficiency in React Native and TypeScript, and you are adept at constructing complex, stateful mobile UIs with asynchronous and streaming interactions across both iOS and Android platforms.

• You understand how to build, ship, and operate mobile applications in a production environment, prioritizing stability, reliability, and clear operational standards.

• You possess a solid foundation in CI/CD and testing frameworks and have a keen interest in advanced topics such as pipelines, caching, and performance optimization.

• You think systematically, maintain high standards for code review, testing, and maintainability, and strive for simplicity in architecture when feasible.

• You take ownership instinctively – acting as a clear escalation point and ensuring that issues are resolved with urgency and precision.

• You communicate with empathy and clarity in a remote-first setting, collaborating effectively with cross-functional and clinical stakeholders.

• You are deeply committed to security and privacy by design and are comfortable operating within healthcare contexts that have stringent compliance and trust requirements.

• You communicate confidently in English and are comfortable working in an international environment.
